Class Descriptions

"The classes at Yoga Unlimited are one of the best “life” investments I have made in years. The meditation techniques that Bonnie teaches us in the classes and how I use them in my daily life... amazing."

Scott C.  - Construction Superintendent

Introduction to Yoga 4-week Series - Beginners 101

This 4- week class is designed for those who are new to the practices of yoga.  Emphasis will be on developing body awareness - learning to notice and experience sensations in the body while doing foundational yoga postures, and exploring safe and effective alignment of these poses.  During the 4 weeks we will cover all the basics so you can easily join into other Yoga Unlimited classes.  Pre-registering is required for this class.  No drop-ins please.

Yoga 102 - Beginners

This is an ongoing class designed for those who have taken Yoga 101 or who are new to the practices of yoga.  Each class will include the introduction and teaching of basic yoga poses, breathing techniques and other yoga practices. There will be lots of time for questions and hands-on assistance.

Moderate

For continuing students with basic understanding of alignment of poses and breathing techniques.  We will deepen our practice through flowing movement, longer holding of poses, explore breathing practices, and concentration techniques that lead to meditation.   Discover the powerful effect these practices have on your health and well-being!

Gentle

A quiet, slow-paced class ideal for all levels of students.  Gentle stretches to increase circulation and release enormous amount of tension, and a meditative practice to come home to center.  Recommended for chronic fatigue, arthritis, back pain, other conditions, and as a gift of self-nurturing.

All Levels

Each Kripalu Yoga class is designed to create union of the body and mind through breath-work (pranayama), warm-ups, postures, meditation and deep relaxation.  Described as "meditation in motion", Kripalu Yoga emphasizes the practices of being present, listening to our bodies, and accepting ourselves just as we are.  Kripalu classes may be gentle, moderate or vigorous depending on the class composition.  Attention is always paid to safety and comfort.

 All Level/Meditation

Same as All Level classes in poses and breathing techniques and includes an extended period of guided seated meditation.

Sunrise Yoga  (currently not available - will be offered in Spring 2010

Start your day with yoga!  Join us for a practice that begins very gently and ends more energetically to prepare you for the day ahead.  Class ends promptly at 7:15am to allow you to get to work on time.  For all levels of practice.

"I tell my friends that yoga with Bonnie has been the best thing I ever did for myself; the best and cheapest therapy. When I leave yoga class, everything in my world seems to be as it should be." Pat
